Marathon Hub

Marathon Hub

Community-powered gameplay stats for Marathon, collected from players who opt in through the free Marathon Overlay tool.

How it works

01

Install the Overlay

Download the free Marathon Overlay, a lightweight Windows app that sits on top of the game and shows live match stats.

02

Opt In

Inside the overlay settings, check the “Submit stats to Marathon Hub” checkbox. Nothing's sent until you opt in, and you can opt out any time.

03

Stats Flow In

While you play, the overlay sends your gameplay events here automatically. It feeds into the community stats and the live match view.

Why this exists

Marathon has no public API and no built-in stats tracker. I wanted to see where the action actually happens on the map (spawn clusters, death zones, how lobbies spread), and there wasn't a way to do that without building something.

Longer term I wanted to build for Marathon what DIM built for Destiny: a proper community hub built around the game's data. Without a public API that's still not really possible, so this is as close as I could get from what the overlay collects.

If Bungie ever ships a public API, this'll probably get reworked from scratch or shut down. Until then, this is what we've got.

What gets collected

Everything comes directly from the game client. No chat, no files, nothing outside the game.

Collected

  • Your in-game display name
  • Your Steam ID and Steam persona name (if your profile is public)
  • Spawn and death positions
  • Network stats (latency, packet loss)
  • Match session identifiers
  • Map name

Never collected

  • Email address
  • IP address
  • Voice or text chat
  • Files, browser data, or anything outside the game client

Your data, your choice

Participation is optional. Turn off data submission from the overlay settings any time, and you can request removal of your historical data. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for full details.
